Although rooted in alternative metal,Linkin Park became one of the most succesful acts of the 2000s by welcoming elements of hip-hop,moder rock, and atmospheric electronica in their music.Linkin Park titled their debut album Hydrid Theory,a tribute to the bands past, and released  the record  during the fall of 2000.
